The Land Surveyors Registration Board (LSRB) regulates the surveying profession in Tanzania under the Land Surveyors Registration Act. LSRB registers licensed surveyors, sets professional standards, and enforces surveying ethics. All land surveys for legal purposes must be conducted by a LSRB-registered surveyor.
Registration Categories
Registration categories include: Graduate Surveyor, Licensed Surveyor, and Consulting Surveyor. Licensed Surveyors are authorized to conduct cadastral surveys and prepare deed plans for title deed applications. Consulting Surveyors may operate private surveying firms.
